Node.js CMS Frameworks

In this post we will be discussing about some of the Node.js CMS frameworks. CMS or Content Management System helps to manage the content of the websites by providing a GUI to create, modify or delete content. The features of a CMS system vary, but mostly it includes Web-based publishing, format management, revision control and search.

1. KeystoneJS

It is an open source Node.js CMS & Web Application Platform for developing database-driven websites. It is built on Express and MongoDB. The features of KeystoneJS includes Dynamic Routes, Database Fields, Auto-generated Admin UI, Form Processing, Session Management and Email Sending.


2. Apostrophe

Apostrophe is a content management system that helps you stay on mission. They have their installer in the form of a npm package and they are also using mongoDB. It uses Nunjucks templating engine to add custom logic to an application and it uses ImageMagick for optimizing images for better performances. It offers user tools to easily create SEO descriptions and add custom tags to pages.


3. PencilBlue

PencilBlue is an open source Node.js CMS for web development that allows you to create simple themes and plugins. They called themselves as Business Class Content Management for Node.js. It has features like scale with the cloud, build with plugins, multisite hosting and internationalization.


4. Ghost

Ghost is a leading blogging platform built on Node.js. According to Ghost, you can either create a solo blog or a full scale newspaper. It can be completely customized in design to suit your needs. They compared themselves with Wordpress and said that Ghost is much more simple, it has SEO and social built in and its way easier to set up.

  3. KeystoneJS and Ghost are two best Nodejs CMS frameworks doing effectively great work for developers as well as users. Most of the Nodejs CMS frameworks are drastically going dead. I don't really understand why this could happens.!!!
    For that I'm searching some Live frameworks and eventually found on Slideshare at - http://www.slideshare.net/agriya/11-live-nodejs-cms-frameworks.
