HTML5 is the latest and most advanced version of HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). On October 2014 the W3C officially published HTML5 as a web standard. Its main aim is to improve support of multimedia along with keeping it simple. HTML5 is the cooperation between the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG).
