Microsoft Launched Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition

Microsoft has launched Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition which is supposed to replace Visual Studio Express Version.


There are two main difference between Visual Studio Community Edition and Express edition.

1. The first and foremost difference is that Visual Studio Express edition doesn't allow you to add extensions, as you all know how much developers gets benefit of using extensions.But the good news is Visual Studio Community Edition allows you to use all of the extensions.

2. The second important difference is a single instance of express edition targets only specific platforms like Express for Web targets Web Application, Express for Windows targets only Windows Application etc. The Visual Studio Community Edition allows you to create any applications you want.

All the above features you are getting for free of cost.  The System Requirements for runing VS 2013 Community edition are as follows :

Supported OS : Windows 8.1, Windows 8 and windows 7 SP1.
Hardware Requirements : 1 GB of RAM, 20 GB of available Hard disk, 5400 RPM Hard disk Drive.
